1. a) Read and translate the text :
Nearly 265 million people live in the USA and speak English. Although approximately one out of eight people in the US speaks a language other than English at home, there are more native speakers of English there than in any other country. American English is very flexible and has absorbed many words from the languages of immigrants. Words like liaison and rendezvous (from French), and rodeo and tornado (from Spanish) came into the language because France and Spain once controlled parts of North America. Dutch and German settlers gave words such as waffle and cookies, and hamburger and noodles to American English. The first English speakers to arrive met Native Americans who spoke many different languages. To trade with them, the Europeans learned words from the local languages, and some of these words became part of American English. Native Americans also worked as guides, leading the European traders and trappers around the country. The Europeans learned the Native American names for the places they were passing through. Over half the states now have Native American names.
b) say whether the sentences below are true or false.
1. English is the native language for all Americans. (F)
2. Tornado is a French word. (F)
3. The word hamburger came from German. (T)
4. Europeans learned local words to trade with Native Americans. (T)
5. You can’t see many Indian names of the places on the modern map of the USA. (F)
c) Put 10 questions of all types (general, alternative, disjunctive, special) to the text.
1. How many people live in the USA?
2. Is English the native language for all Americans or not?
3. Does American English have absorbed many words from the languages of immigrants?
4. Rodeo and tornado are a Spanish words, aren’t they?
5. Which parts of America was controlled by France and Spain?
6. Did the word hamburger came from German?
7. Native Americans spoke many different languages, didn’t they?
8. What for did Europeans learn words from the local languages of America?
9. Native Americans also worked as guides, leading the European traders, didn’t they?
10.Did the Europeans learn the Native American names for the places they were passing through or name them by themselves?

Перевод очень хороший. "T" и "F" я бы расставила так же.
А в вопросах предложу пару правок:
У Вас: 3. Does American English have absorbed many words from the languages of immigrants? Это общий вопрос к предложению:
American English has absorbed many words from the languages of immigrants. Тут время Present Perfect, поэтому вспомогательный глагол в общем вопросе должен быть другим. Правильно так:
Has American English absorbed many words from the languages of immigrants?
4. Rodeo and tornado are a Spanish words, aren’t they?
Spanish words - множественное число, поэтому артикль "а" уберите.
Правильно: Rodeo and tornado are Spanish words, aren’t they?
 5. Which parts of America was controlled by France and Spain?
parts of America - тоже множественно число, поэтому глагол не was, а were. Правильно:Which parts of America were controlled by France and Spain?
6. Did the word hamburger came from German? Тут вспомогательный глагол did "забирает на себя" прошедшее время, основной глагол должен быть в первой форме. Правильно: Did the word hamburger cоme from German?
8. What for did Europeans learn words from the local languages of America? Не уверена, но как будто "what for" скорее неформальный, разговорный оборот. Лучше так: Why did Europeans learn words from the local languages of Noth America?
9. Native Americans also worked as guides, leading the European traders [around the country], didn’t they?

Sylvia, 19
Англия
"Мои родители живут раздельно, так что мы с сестрой живём с нашей мамой. Мы проводим большую часть выходных у нашего отца, хотя, как считают наши родители это важно, что они оба остаются большой частью нашей жизни. Я почти не вижу никого из моих бабушек и дедушек, так как они живут в разных городах. Я очень близок с моей бабушкой по маме, поэтому, я говорю с ней много по телефону.
Thomas, 17
Takumi, 18
